Smith & Nephew's S&N Acticoat Flex is an advanced antimicrobial dressing designed to manage a variety of wound types, including acute and chronic wounds such as burns, graft sites, and ulcers. This product is available in two variants, Acticoat Flex 3 and Acticoat Flex 7, each offering different durations of antimicrobial protection.

Usage Instructions

Before application, the dressing should be moistened with sterile water and cut to fit the wound size. It should be applied directly to the wound without stretching and secured with an appropriate secondary dressing. The dressing must remain damp, and its change frequency should align with the variant used—up to every 3 days for Acticoat Flex 3 and up to every 7 days for Acticoat Flex 7.

Precautions

• Not suitable for individuals with a known sensitivity to silver.
• Should not be used during MRI or prior to radiation therapy.
• Incompatible with saline and certain topical antimicrobials.
