Description
Mepilex Border, crafted by Mölnlycke Health Care, is an advanced line of self-adherent foam dressings designed to support the healing of both acute and chronic exuding wounds. These dressings are engineered to create an optimal healing environment by maintaining moisture balance and effectively managing exudate.
Key Features
- Safetac® Technology: Each dressing is equipped with a soft silicone layer that minimizes pain and trauma during changes, adhering gently to the skin without sticking to the wound bed.
- Five-Layer Construction: This design enhances fluid management and provides a barrier against bacteria and viruses, ensuring protection while allowing for activities like showering.
- Waterproof and Conformable: The waterproof backing film and Flex Technology enable the dressing to conform to body contours, staying secure even during movement.
Variants
- Mepilex Border Flex: Offers enhanced flexibility, ideal for areas with challenging anatomies.
- Mepilex Border Flex Lite: A thinner version suitable for wounds with lower exudation.
- Mepilex Border Ag: Contains silver for antimicrobial action, targeting wounds at high risk of infection.
- Mepilex Border Post-Op: Tailored for surgical wounds, providing high flexibility over joints.

These dressings are suitable for a wide range of wound types, including:
- Pressure ulcers
