Mepilex Border Flex Dressing by Mölnlycke Health Care is an innovative solution for managing a variety of exuding wounds. This self-adherent foam dressing is designed to conform to complex body contours, ensuring it stays securely in place even during movement. It's particularly suitable for wounds with medium to high exudation, such as pressure injuries, leg and foot ulcers, traumatic wounds, surgical wounds, and burns. Additionally, it can be used on dry or necrotic wounds in combination with gels, making it versatile for different wound care needs.

The dressing incorporates Flex Technology, featuring patterned perforations that allow it to stretch 360°. This provides exceptional flexibility and conformability, helping the dressing remain in place on challenging anatomical locations.

Safetac® Technology

Equipped with Safetac® Technology, the soft silicone wound contact layer minimizes pain and trauma during dressing changes. It also reduces the risk of maceration and skin damage, making it ideal for use on fragile skin.

Exudate Management

The 5-layer construction effectively manages exudate by absorbing, channeling, and retaining it away from the wound bed. This helps maintain a moist wound environment conducive to healing while trapping bacteria away from the wound.

Application Guidelines

Mepilex Border Flex can be left in place for up to 7 days, depending on the wound condition and clinical judgment. It should overlap the wound by 1–2 cm and be applied smoothly without stretching. Changes are recommended if exudate leaks, the absorbent pad is 75% full, or signs of infection appear.

Available Sizes

The dressing comes in various sizes and shapes, including standard, oval, and Lite versions, with common sizes ranging from 7.5x7.5 cm to 15x20 cm. Packaging options vary by size and version, offering flexibility for different clinical needs.

Precautions
