Composition

• Modified Carboxymethyl Cellulose Polymer (2.3%)
• Propylene Glycol (20%): Acts as a humectant and preservative.

Indications for Use

INTRASITE GEL APPLIPAK is suitable for:

• Various wound types, including leg ulcers, pressure sores, surgical wounds, and minor burns.
• Dry, sloughy, or necrotic wounds, promoting effective debridement and rehydration.
• Use on infected wounds under medical supervision, and as a vehicle for topical antimicrobial agents.

Contraindications

• Not suitable for individuals with known sensitivity to its ingredients.
• Should not be used on moderate to heavily exuding wounds, near the eyes, or in deep wounds with narrow openings.

Precautions

• Intended for single-patient use; any unused gel should be discarded.
• Avoid use on grossly contaminated wounds unless supervised by a healthcare professional.
• Discontinue use if irritation occurs and do not combine with absorptive cover dressings.

Instructions for Use

1. Cleanse the wound with normal saline.
2. Apply the gel to the wound, covering with a suitable secondary dressing.
3. Change the dressing every 2–3 days, adjusting frequency based on wound condition.
4. Remove the gel by irrigating with normal saline.

Packaging and Storage

Available in 8g, 15g, and 25g Applipak dispensers, each unit is steam-sterilized and individually packed. Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. The packaging is recyclable, aligning with environmental safety standards.
