Versatility and Comfort

ALLEVYN Gentle Border is designed to conform to difficult-to-dress areas such as joints, knees, elbows, sacrum, and heels. Its flexibility and multi-way stretch allow it to be cut to fit smaller or awkward areas, though cutting may compromise its waterproof and bacterial barrier properties.

Long Wear Time

The dressing can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on the wound condition and exudate level, providing extended protection and reducing the frequency of dressing changes. This feature, combined with its design for atraumatic removal, minimizes pain and trauma during dressing changes.

Indications

Suitable for a wide range of wounds with low to high exudate, including minor weeping wounds, chronic wounds, and post-operative wounds. It serves as a barrier to bacteria and water while allowing moisture vapor permeability, ensuring excess moisture transpires effectively.

Application Guidelines

For optimal results, cleanse the wound before application and select a dressing size that extends at least 2 cm beyond the wound edge. The dressing should not be stretched during application, and changes should be made when exudate nears the pad edge.

• ALLEVYN Ag Gentle Border: Contains silver for antimicrobial action.
