Antimicrobial Technology

The dressing is coated with nanocrystalline silver (NCS) technology, providing robust antimicrobial protection against a broad spectrum of bacterial and fungal microorganisms. This fast-acting technology demonstrates bactericidal activity within 30 minutes (in vitro) and offers sustained protection for up to three days.

Design and Flexibility

Crafted from a knitted polyester mesh, ACTICOAT Flex 3 is highly conformable, featuring a one-way stretch that allows it to contour to body shapes and accommodate patient movement. Its low-adherent nature minimizes trauma during dressing changes, promoting a more comfortable healing process.

Moisture Management

The open weave design of the dressing facilitates the migration of fluid and wound exudate, helping to maintain a moist wound environment. This reduces the risk of maceration and supports optimal healing conditions. It is recommended to use an appropriate secondary dressing to secure it in place.

• Placement: Apply directly to the wound bed without stretching and secure with a secondary dressing.
• Duration: Leave in place for up to three days, adjusting change frequency based on wound exudate and clinical condition.
• Removal: If adhered, moisten with sterile water for easy removal, leaving any residual silver in place if present.

Precautions and Contraindications

• External Use Only: Avoid using with oil-based products or as a conductor for high voltage wound therapy.
• Compatibility: Keep away from electrodes or conductive gels and monitor for any pain or skin discoloration.
